EdgeMarc Series Converged Network Appliances

Installed at the customer premises, EdgeMarc Series appliances reduce the cost and complexity of securing and maintaining mission-critical voice and video services for enterprise customers. They are available in several models to fit any size network:

4200 Series
Ideal for SOHO and small to medium enterprise deployment the 4200 includes 4 x 10/100 ethernet LAN interfaces, a 1 x 10/100 ethernet WAN interface and support for 2, 5, 10 or 30 concurrent WAN VoIP calls.

4300T Series
Ideal for direct internet access or managed services deployed over T1 or E1 links the 4300T includes a 4 port 10/100 Ethernet switch, an integrated T1 CSU/DSU WAN or E1 interface or a 1x 10/100 ethernet WAN interface and support for up to 30 concurrent WAN VoIP calls.

5300 Series
Ideal for medium to large enterprise locations the 5300 converged network appliance includes 2 x 10/100/1000 ethernet interfaces, a 1 x 10/100 ethernet out of band management interface and support for up to 300 concurrent VoIP calls.

6400 Series
Designed for demanding environments the 6400 converged network appliance offers 2 x 10/100/1000 ethernet interfaces and dual redundant, hot swap AC or DC power supplies.

Each network appliance replaces multiple standalone systems by integrating VoIP, network security and quality of service capabilities into a low-cost, easily managed device. EdgeMarc Series appliances provide a comprehensive set of features for network operators.

EdgeProtect Series Session Border Controllers

EdgeProtect Series session border controllers protect managed VoIP service providers from network-based attacks and perform NAT/FW traversal to extend the reach of VoIP services. 

They use a dynamic access control list to authenticate VoIP subscribers as they register with the hosted service. This authentication eliminates the need to manually program IP addresses of valid subscribers in other firewalls around the perimeter of the data center to enable scalability while reducing the workload of operations personnel. This also enables the service provider to easily support mobile VoIP subscribers that perform frequent addressing changes 

There are two high performance models available:

EdgeProtect 5300 Series
The EdgeProtect 5300 includes 2 x 10/100/1000 ethernet interfaces and is capable of supporting up to 500 simultaneous VoIP calls.

EdgeProtect 6400 Series
Designed for demanding environments the EdgeProtect 6400offers 2 x 10/100/1000 ethernet interfaces and dual redundant, hot swap AC or DC power supplies.

Installed at the edge of the VoIP operations center, EdgeProtect Series session border controllers secure critical VoIP and data infrastructure components such as VoIP softswitches, gateways and media servers.

EdgeConnect Managed Power over Ethernet Switch

EdgeConnect 2402PoE
The EdgeConnect 2402PoE is a flexible, easy-to-use, managed power over ethernet LAN switch that is ideal for converged voice, video and data applications. Incorporating all of the features needed for today’s converged networking environment including prioritization using 802.1Q VLANs, the EdgeConnect 2402PoE provides 24 x 10/100Mbps auto-sensing ethernet ports and 2 x 10/100/100Mbps uplink or high speed server ports.

EdgeView VoIP Support System

EdgeView provides central management and monitoring for Edgewater’s EdgeMarc and EdgeProtect Series products including software image management, group upgrades, configuration backup and restore, active call count monitoring, call quality statistics including MOS, jitter, latency, packet loss and much more, trend analysis and utilization statistics.

Delivered in an appliance form factor EdgeView is typically installed in the operations center and console access is provided through a browser-based GUI. It allows authorized administrators to manage multiple EdgeMarc and EdgeProtect products from a convenient location. The system supports multiple, authenticated user accounts with administrator defined access privileges. It can be used as a stand-alone management solution or as a complement to other network management systems.
