Technical Support Engineer
Description: We
are currently looking for a Technical Support Engineer
to provide post-sales technical
support for our customers. Activities include assistance with the
installation, configuration, design and troubleshooting of converged
voice, video and data networks using Edgewater Networks products.
The Technical Support Engineer interfaces directly with
customers
using phone,
web and email interfaces and works with other members of the Edgewater
Networks development and support teams as needed to isolate and
resolve problems.
Required Skills: The successful candidate will
have experience working in IT or related technologies including
telecommunications,
security or networking
products. Must be familiar with LAN/WAN IP networks, PC/workstation
and server environments. Hands-on experience installing routers,
switches, VPNs, firewalls and VoIP equipment a plus.

Software Engineer
Description: Develop and enhance voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) software for
Linux-based router appliance, including software specifications and
code,
testing and delivery, and support. Maintain and develop H.323 and SIP
protocols, and applications based on same. Maintain and develop system
utilities for Linux platform. Work with field support, internal
support,
and QA departments. May direct support of customer engagements.
Participate in rapid software development life cycle.
Requires Master's degree in CS, EE or related technical field and 6
years of
software engineering experience.
Required Skills: 1) C/C++
and
multithreaded programming languages; 2) Linux environment (embedded
Linux,
tools, routing, firewalls, and utility/kernel development; 3) H.323 and
SIP
protocol development; 4) networking stack, products, debugging tools
and
related routing technologies (TCP/IP, UDP, Ethereal, Protocol sniffers,
netcat); 5) VoIP technologies and protocols; and 6) high availability
systems. Experience may be gained concurrently.

Embedded Linux Software Engineer
Description: A self-motivated senior engineer
to develop and enhance Linux driver and kernel software for networking
equipment. Candidate must have a demonstrated ability to specify, code,
test, deliver and support software.
Required Skills: 2+ years of related hands-on experience
with Linux drivers and/or Linux kernel network programming. Experience
with Linux embedded systems with limited RAM and flash memory. Strong
C programming and debugging skills required. Experience with bootloaders
and Linux system startup required. A minimum of 5 years software experience
is required.
Desired Skills: Experience with board and RTOS
kernel bring-up is a strong plus. Experience with Intel Xscale IXP42X
processor is a strong plus. Experience with Linux routing is a strong
plus. Experience with T1, VLAN switching, IP forwarding is a plus. Experience
with PCI bus, kernel optimization, and debugging tools such as logic
analyzers and gdb is a plus.

Required Skills: 3+ years of related hands-on experience
with network management systems is required. Experience developing CGI
applications using Perl and C. Experience developing GUIs using HTML,
JavaScript and C. Experience with SQL and SNMP is required. Strong C
and network programming debugging skills. A minimum of 5 years software
experience is required.
Desired Skills: Experience developing applications
for Linux is a strong plus. Experience with Apache and MySQL. Experience
with VoIP protocols (SIP, H.323, MGCP) is a strong plus. Experience
with High Availability systems is a strong plus. Experience with network

Description: A self-motivated senior engineer to develop
and enhance VoIP signaling applications. Candidate must have a demonstrated
ability to specify, code, test, deliver and support software.
Required Skills: 3+ years of related hands-on experience
with SIP and/or H.323 protocols is required. Experience developing and
integrating Proxy, ALG and/or UA features into networking devices. Experience
with embedded systems with limited RAM and flash memory. Strong C programming
and debugging skills. A minimum of 5 years software experience.
Desired Skills: Experience with embedded Linux is a
strong plus. Experience with VoIP encryption (TLS, SRTP) is a strong
plus. Experience with Linux routing is a strong plus. Experience with
network debugging tools (Ethereal, Protocol sniffers, netcat, etc) is
a strong plus. Experience with High Availibility systems is a plus.

Systems Engineer
Provide pre and post sales support for Edgewater products. Post
sales support includes installation, upgrades and onsite troubleshooting
if required. Work as an integral part of the sales team to understand
the business and technical challenges faced by customers and apply Edgewater
products appropriately. Create application notes, design documents
and provide feedback regarding feature requests and solutions that consistenly
improve the competitive positioning of Edgewater products.
Requires at least 5 years of directly relevant experience working with
telecommunications, security or networking products. Must be very
technical and have an in-depth knowledge of routing, security, QoS,
VPNs and VoIP components such as gateways, endpoints and softswitches.
Must have hands on experience installing routers, switches, firewalls
and VoIP equipment. Excellent presentation, written and and verbal
communication skills required. Must be familiar with LAN environments
and posses a strong understanding of operating systems including Windows
and Linux/Unix.
