Telverse Lights Up The World AG Expo
By Providing Thousands Of IP-Based Phone Calls
- Thousands of minutes of VOIP calls enabled through joint effort between
Telverse, TeliPath, Edgewater Networks, Proxim, Polycom and Cisco
February 14, 2003 - Telverse Communications provided
its ‘Business Tone’ VoIP service to over 200,000 participants
at the World Agricultural Exposition February 11-13th. Over this three-day
period, over 500 individuals placed over 10,000 minutes worth of calls.
To deliver the services, Telverse joined hands with TeliPath, Proxim,
Polycom, Cisco and Edgewater Networks.
Using the Telverse service, participants at the Expo were given free
Internet access and could make outbound calls across the United States.
TeliPath and Proxim provided the last mile connectivity, 1.5 MBPS, while
Telverse provided the IP-based phone services. Edgewater Networks ensured
high quality voice calls with its Edgewater E30, which provides voice
QoS with traffic shaping, IP phone management, NAT and many other features.
“In addition to providing a public service for the farm show participants,
we also were able to demonstrate the high quality service we provide.
Thousands IP-enabled calls over such a short period of time without
any disruption of service proves that Telverse can scale in addition
to offering the inherent savings associated with our services.”
