Management System For Managed VoIP Service Providers
- The EdgeView element management system reduces costs and
simplifies the delivery and maintenance of hosted VoIP services
Santa Clara, Calif. – July 15, 2004 – Edgewater
Networks, Inc., today announced the availability of the EdgeView element
management system. EdgeView provides central management and monitoring
for Edgewater’s EdgeMarc and EdgeProtect Series products including
software image management, group upgrades, EdgeMarc configuration backup
and restore, active call count monitoring, trend analysis and utilization
statistics. The EdgeView element management system enables providers
and enterprise customers to scale their VoIP deployments.

focus on items that automated routine tasks and simplified the diagnosis

Delivered in an appliance form factor EdgeView is typically installed
in the operations center and console access is provided through a browser-based
GUI. It allows authorized administrators to manage multiple EdgeMarc
and EdgeProtect products from a convenient location. The system supports
multiple, authenticated user accounts with administrator defined access
privileges. It can be used as a stand-alone management solution or as
a complement to other network management systems. It also supports a
scripting interface for maximum flexibility.
