With EdgeView Service Control Center, network operators are able to remotely identify and resolve network
impairments that negatively affect VoIP call quality. This reduces overall costs, shortens problem resolution times,
and improves the end-user experience.
EdgeView enables service providers and enterprise customers to easily scale their VoIP service through the central management and monitoring of Edgewater Networks’ EdgeMarc and EdgeProtect Intelligent Edges. It provides device management, VoIP performance monitoring and troubleshooting, performance reporting and the automated provisioning of many VoIP devices.
The EdgeView Service Control Center provides device and network monitoring capabilities including MOS scoring and reporting from EdgeMarc Intelligent Edges. Users are able to monitor and control EdgeMarcs including firmware upgrades, configuration changes, backups and restore, password management and web proxy access through the EdgeView GUI.
EdgeView provides visibility to all voice and data traffic with real-time alerts/alarms for remote troubleshooting and management, fault isolation and reporting, and automated provisioning.
The EdgeView VoIP Analytics module provides device and network monitoring capabilities for call setup/teardown activities, SIP Protocol and error messages, and system CPU and memory resources for call activities analysis and diagnostics. Device monitoring and reporting capabilities can be tracked for all devices in the network or for groups of EdgeMarcs.
EdgeView Reports provides a real-time view of converged networks based on the data collected from the EdgeMarc ESBC. EdgeView Reports provides users with a comprehensive library of reports to enable network operators to quickly retrieve summary and detailed call quality performance metrics.
The Web Services Application Programming Interface (API) provides a rich library of functions for integration with Network Operation Control (NOC) and EdgeMarc management. The EdgeView Web Service layer uses standards-based SOAP as the protocol and Web Services Description Language (WSDL) version 1.1 to specify the parameters.
